cpd: An R Package for Complex Pearson Distributions

چکیده

The complex Pearson (CP) distributions are a family of probability models for count data generated by the Gaussian hypergeometric function with arguments. triparametric (CTP) distribution and its biparametric versions, (CBP) extended Waring (EBW) distributions, belong to this family. They all have explicit expressions mass (pmf), generating moments, so they easy handle from computational point view. Moreover, CTP EBW can model over- underdispersed data, whereas CBP only overdispersed but unlike other well-known overdispersion is not due an excess zeros low values variable. Finally, allows variance be split into three uniquely identifiable components: randomness, liability proneness. These properties make CP interest in modeling great variety data. For reason, trying spread their use, we implemented R package called cpd that contains pmf, function, quantile random generation these distributions. In addition, fitting functions according maximum likelihood. This available Comprehensive Archive Network (CRAN). work, describe included package, illustrate usage several examples. release plugin order use interface Commander tries contribute spreading among non-advanced users.

fitdistrplus: An R Package for Fitting Distributions

The package fitdistrplus provides functions for fitting univariate distributions to different types of data (continuous censored or non-censored data and discrete data) and allowing different estimation methods (maximum likelihood, moment matching, quantile matching and maximum goodness-of-fit estimation). Outputs of fitdist and fitdistcens functions are S3 objects, for which kind generic metho...

Calibrar: an R package for fitting complex ecological models

1. The fitting or parameter estimation of complex ecological models is a challenging optimization task, with a notable lack of tools for fitting complex stochastic models. 2. calibrar is an R package that has been developed for fitting complex ecological models to data, including complex Individual Based Models. It is a generic tool that can be used for any type of model, especially those with ...

5 Previous studies have indicated that multi-interval discretization (seg6 mentation) of continuous-valued attributes for classification learning might 7 provide a robust machine learning approach to modelling species distribu8 tions. Here we apply a segmentation model to the Bradypus variegatus 9 – the brown-throated three-toed sloth – using the species occurrence and 10 climatic data sets pro...

An R package for state-trace analysis.

State-trace analysis (Bamber, Journal of Mathematical Psychology, 19, 137-181, 1979) is a graphical analysis that can determine whether one or more than one latent variable mediates an apparent dissociation between the effects of two experimental manipulations. State-trace analysis makes only ordinal assumptions and so, is not confounded by range effects that plague alternative methods, especia...
